Assassin's Creed Odyssey: How To Find The Cultist Clue In Shipwreck Cove (2024)

Putting an end to every member of the Cult of Kosmos is a fun experience in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. However, finding every cultist can become quite tiresome. To discover the locations of each one, you need to find clues — which is why many players often ask "Where is the Shipwreck Cove cultist clue?"

You know it is somewhere along the Scavenger's Coast, but its true location is often a mystery. This guide will not only tell you the exact location of the clue but also provide a few tips concerning how to take down the target afterward.

The Confusion Surrounding The Clue

While looking for information about this clue online, people have been a little confused as to its exact location. Much of the fans' uncertainty has come from the fact that there are two clues in Shipwreck Cove.

One clue is for a Cult of Kosmos member, and the other is for a member of the Order of the Ancients (as part of the Legacy of the Blade DLC).

The Cult Of Kosmos Cultist Clue Is On The Rocks

Shipwreck Cove is located in the northern area of Scavenger's Coast in Achaia.

Once you're there, head to the rocky area by the ocean and clamber over it. On the other side of the rocks, there's a corpse that you must loot to get the clue.

Taking Down The Cultist

After getting the clue, you discover that Machaon the Feared is your target, and you should have your best armor equipped. His location will be marked on the map — it's in the northwest area of Achaia. More specifically, he resides in the Patrai Military Shipyard with several guards around him.

Once the fight commences, he tries to use his spear to take you down. His attacks aren't too difficult to predict, as the cultist doesn't throw out any fancy moves. You can just whittle his health down with fast attacks from that point and find yourself claiming a relatively easy victory.

Where To Find The Order Of The Ancients Clue

The Order of the Ancients clue is also in Shipwreck Cove, but you must enter the water to acquire this one. You will see several shipwrecks lying about and there will be a mast near some rocks with a dead body on its deck.

Go up to the dead body and collect the clue, which will reveal the location of The Order of the Storm Cultist named Sophos the Broker.

Taking Down The Cultist

The Cultist will be located in the Shipyard of Patrai, which can be found in the northwest of Achaia, and ironically is the same location as the cultist from the Cult of Kosmos. All you need to do is head north of Mount Panachaikos to the water and this is where you will find your target.
